The Houston Rockets had a historic second-half meltdown
The Houston Rockets scored 73 points in the first half of their Thursday game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. They shot 12-for-20 from three-point range in that half. They led the Thunder by 14 at the half.
Then, the second half hit and the Rockets completely fell apart. They scored 19 points in the entire second half.
They set a dubious NBA record. The 54-point disparity between halves is the largest negative gap for a team in NBA history.
Dwight Howard's synchronized hand-flinging ability was about the only positive trait on display for Houston in the second half.
Even the team's official Twitter account had to laugh at the absurdity of the collapse.
