  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Me too. There's a few swallows nests under the roof where I live, so they constantly fly by my windows.

They scare me. I did get to see them up close sometimes as we had this place at the lake and when I would go out on weekends and open up the garage shutters they would be hiding in there and scare the pants off me as I wouldn't be expecting to see anything.

Then there was this time I was in the Caribbean and we went repelling down a cave and had to walk a long ways in the cave to get to the end to get back out and there was lots of water sometimes so high we had to swim as the water was above our heads and our feet couldn't touch the ground and we kept one arm on the rope above oh it droves my sinus nuts and in the end I was claustrophobic from being in there so long. We had these helmets with flashlights on them which quit shortly after we were in, great eh so it was pretty dark and uneven ground, real Indiana Jones style of thing. Anyways we get near the end and all of a sudden there are hundreds and hundreds of bats that took flight when we approached and were circling and then left. I was to tired to scream by that point as I just wanted to get out of this bloody cave and have my feet on dry stable ground as our rubber water boots were no good filled with water, lol. Yes so the bats were an interesting way to end the cave adventure and as much as I like repelling I don't think I would do that again, well maybe as adventure is always fun.

I also recall we had a lot bats around our primary school as a kid. I think I have seen lots I just don't recall them like I do the birds maybe cause bats are associated with Halloween and I am not fond of that holiday or dark places, I dunno why I think of them as creepy cause they are probably an innocent animal. It seems to me bats were something that only the boys had liked way back then.

I thought that bats were mammals.

But, they are interesting to watch, they sometimes feed when the insects become so plentiful that they hunt in daylight. Particularly the fruit bat.

I know they do good, but not a fan of bats. When I was in grade school we found a baby bat on the playground. Being the precocious, but perfect, child that I was, I put my finger out to see if it was alive and it grabbed my finger with it's feet. Scared the living hell out of me.

I'll take my morning doves, robins, sparrows, cardinals and blue jays any day.

Actually, bats are quite common in urban areas as well. Back when I was a teen, one of my friends who lived two doors down showed us a bat that had gotten into their house. It scared the shit out of his grandmother and I think she scared the shit out of it, because in trying to find its way out, it flew into a wall and died after flopping around on the floor for a minute.

Anyway, fast forward 35 years or so. I was talking to my Mom's next door neighbor was telling me that, ever since one got into his attic, he's taken more notice and sees them almost every night. Coincidentally, his house is right next door to the house my friend lived in. Apparently, their roost is nearby and have most likely been there for decades.
